VMOG UK is the only indigenous supplier of OCTG in the UK, with modern heat treatment and threading facilities in Lanarkshire. Here it performs quenching and tempering and threading operations on the tubes and also produces couplings with diameters ranging from 5” to 14”.
VMOG UK manufactures seamless casing and tubing from semi-finished product (green pipe) sourced from the mills of its parent company, Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes, in France and Germany. The products manufactured by VMOG UK are VAM Premium connections. Within the UKCS these are VAM TOP, VAM TOP HT (“High Torque”) VAM TOP HC (“High Compression”) and VAM HW (“Heavy Wall”) as well as highly sophisticated grades such as VM110SS. In order to meet market expectations in terms of ancillary services, VMOG UK is in full control of its product supply chain from the steel works to the platform.
